“Reflections of a Rock Lobster” is the story of a gay high school student who wants to take his boyfriend to the prom. On March 10, the First Parish Welcoming Congregation Committee, supported by the Lifespan Religious Education and Spiritual Development program, is organizing a group trip to see the 2pm show and talk with the actors afterward. Presented by the Boston Children’s Theater, this production is geared for middle- and high-school youth and adults. Called “engrossing, touching, and frequently funny” by the Boston Globe, the play addresses issues of bullying, prejudice, and intolerance, and presents a path forward through it all. Free bus transportation is included in your $18 ticket, which you can buy during coffee hour after church on Sunday, January 27, or by contacting the First Parish office before Sunday to reserve a ticket. These discounted tickets are only available until Sunday Jan. 27. Full-price tickets may be available after that from the Boston Children’s Theater box office.
