This Sunday, August 23, 10:00 a.m., “Fighting to Vote”, 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage
On August 26, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. While this Amendment reflected the success of a decades long fight for women’s suffrage, in practice many black and indigenous women remained disenfranchised for decades to come. How might reflecting on this anniversary shape our understanding of today’s battles against disenfranchisement of voters?
