Sharing Our Offering: UU Urban Ministry and A Place to Turn
First Parish is sharing its plate with one organization twice each month, or two similar organizations once each. This ensures that everyone has the opportunity to generously support these vital community organizations and causes.
On Nov. 10, half the Sunday offering will be donated to the UU Urban Ministry, a nonsectarian, non-profit social justice organization that has its offices at the historic First Church in Roxbury. First Parish in Wayland has been a long-time supporter of the UU Urban Ministry.
On Nov. 24, half the Sunday offering will be donated to A Place to Turn, which is a “choice” food pantry located in Natick that provides healthy food choices, diapers, and personal care items to MetroWest residents, with a commitment to serving with dignity, equity, and empathy.
