First Parish shares its collection plate with social justice organizations throughout the year. For the summer services we are hosting, we will give our full collection to UU Mass Action, whose mission is to organize and mobilize the 20,000 Unitarian Universalists and 142 congregations in Massachusetts to confront oppression. Founded in 2006, the organization is the original state-wide Unitarian Universalist organizing and advocacy group in the U.S.
This summer, First Parish is joining with three other local Unitarian Universalist congregations to host services. This collaboration, dubbed The Metrowest Summer Services Consortium, includes First Parish Church in Weston, First Parish in Framingham, the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn, and First Parish in Wayland. You can learn more about the group’s summer schedule here.
