First Parish recently added two ADA-compliant tables to our grounds, located under the trees adjacent to the west side of our building. As part of a Visioning Project last year, congregants suggested more initiatives to share our campus with the larger Wayland community. These tables were one step in that direction. The tables were prepped, primed, and decoratively painted by about 30 First Parish folks, from preschoolers to septuagenarians.

The tables were purchased from MassCor, a prison industries program offering diverse, self-sustaining programs beneficial to incarcerated individuals.

While it’s getting a bit chilly to take full advantage of the tables just now, it will be a great space to meet up with a friend come spring!
