Technology Facilitator (posted 9/2022)
Are you looking for some part-time work? Do you have a passion for the technology—computers, sound systems, video cameras? We are looking for a skilled person to join our team to manage tech for our multiplatform (hybrid) services using ZOOM.
Commitment:
- Averaging 3 hours/week, including Sunday mornings, (9:30 am-12:00 pm). Pool of additional 25 hours for special events.
- September 18, 2022 – June 11, 2023 (39 weeks), with possible renewal.
- Onsite strongly preferred. Offsite considered.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical “Host” for Sunday Services using Zoom and YouTube using a Mac mini.
- Manage onsite and online audio levels and video cameras to follow service elements.
- Lightly edit service recording and upload to YouTube as needed.
Qualifications:
- Able to quickly be proficient with current platforms, including hosting.
- Experience working with video cameras and sound systems.
- A passion for technology and problem-solving to make it all “look smooth” for the participants/viewers.
- An open, collaborative person who works well on a team and is comfortable leading in employee’s area of responsibility.
- If offsite, access to reliable, fast internet for stable meetings.
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00/hour based on skills and experience.

Nursery Care Provider (posted 8/9/2022)
Reports to: Director of Lifespan Spiritual and Ethical Exploration
Classification: Part-time, hourly nonexempt averaging 2 hours a week, mid-September through mid-June annually (40 weeks)
Schedule: Sunday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am
JOB SUMMARY:
In support of the mission and covenant of First Parish in Wayland, the nursery care provider will work with the youngest children of the congregation to engage them with our Unitarian Universalist faith and offer them time for play, exploration and fun.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Care for children from birth through age 5.
- Read books to children.
- Implement craft project provided by DLSEE
- Tidy the nursery before and after your time with the kids.

Qualifications:
- Prefer knowledge of Unitarian Universalism with an ability to articulate our core principles and values.
- An enthusiastic and socially outgoing personality with a good sense of humor.
- Experience working with young children.
- Ability to implement curricula provided.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- CORI check will be required before beginning employment.
