Pianist/keyboardist, singer, composer, arranger Matt Jenson lights up the connection between roots-reggae, Afro-Cuban sounds and soul-jazz. The group presents original compositions and creative re-workings of pop, jazz, reggae, and Afro Cuban songs by Bob Marley, Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk, Marvin Gaye, George Gershwin, Eddie Palmieri, and more.
The concert is part of the popular Arts Wayland Berklee Faculty Jazz Series, co-sponsored by First Parish, under the direction of our own Neil Olmstead, Berklee College professor.
