The Lydian String Quartet, one of the country’s most revered chamber music groups, will play in the First Parish Meetinghouse on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Based at Brandeis University, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Lydian has released nearly 30 recordings.

This free performance is wholly funded by the Wayland Concert Series, which has presented talented musicians in free public concerts for nearly 60 years.

For more than 40 years, the name Lydian String Quartet has been synonymous with great musical performances, whether locally in Boston’s Jordan Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, or at major concert venues around the world. And now, Lydian will play at First Parish’s Meetinghouse, which offers an acoustically ideal space for chamber ensembles.
