The First Parish community is invited to attend the ordination of Alyssa Lee on Sunday afternoon, October 6. The service, which will take place in her home church in Oklahoma City, will be livestreamed on YouTube at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. Links are here and here.
Alyssa served as Ministerial Intern at First Parish during the 2021 and 2022 church years, while she completed her seminary studies. She led Sunday services, held small group discussions and poetry groups, taught in the Spiritual and Ethical Exploration for Kids (SEEK) program, and provided individual counseling. She served with grace, warmth, and good humor. In August 2024, she began serving as the settled minister at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Wilmington, NC.
First Parish has a long history as a teaching congregation, having welcomed 20 ministerial interns since the early 1970s.
