Shop with a purpose! First Parish in Wayland’s Holiday Sale returns on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll feature Fair Trade giftable food items, unique items from nonprofits, and gently used holiday décor. Back by popular demand: The Kids’ Shop, where kids can shop for their loved ones.
We’ll offer handmade items (jewelry, scarves, purses, ornaments, home decor, etc.) from organizations supporting marginalized women and children, including:
- Project Have Hope – Empowering women and families in Uganda
- Under the Same Moon – Supporting children and families to break the cycle of poverty
- Sewing Seeds for Hope – Supporting Afghan women in the New England Area
- Equal Exchange – Featuring fair trade foods, supporting farmers around the world
For animal lovers, Let’s Save the Strays – a global organization focusing on population control and animal welfare – also will be featured.
