2020 Virtual Holiday Fair Trade Shop

Last year during our first sponsored Holiday Fair Trade Pop-up Shop, we were able to support women, children and small farmers. This year, COVID has been devastating for these groups. The virus has caused greater need and, not only closed our sale, but all in person venues where they raised the bulk of their money.

This December, First Parish will promote the wares of three such groups. If you are shopping for the holidays, please consider checking out these wonderful crafts that support others. Don’t need any more items? Consider giving a donation in someone’s name to send a child to school.

Our promoted vendors include a Ugandan group that supports education and small businesses; a Guatamalan group that supports a school; and our Fair Trade coffee, chocolates, and other goodies that support farmers throughout the world. All of these vendors were at our Fair Trade Pop-Up Holiday Shop in the Vestry last December. If you can help or have questions, please contact Deb Stubeda.

The first group is Project Have Hope, a non-profit working in Uganda to provide educational & entrepreneurial opportunities. We’re excited to offer you an opportunity to save 10% on their entire online collection. Additionally, they will donate 10% of all sales to First Parish in Wayland. Just use coupon code: WaylandUU (expires Dec 19, 2020). We hope you’ll join us in supporting their work.

Don’t forget to use code WaylandUU at checkout to donate 10% to First Parish!

Gift Different. Gift Hope.

The second group is Under the Same Moon. What better way to make the Holidays meaningful that with a gift from Under the Same Moon. You can be part of a growing holiday tradition by helping those in need. You can choose to honor your friends and loved ones with gifts that help families lift themselves out of poverty. Every penny earned goes to support a primary school in Guatemala.
