The Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is hosting a virtual “Shower for Shelters” from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 11. Families transitioning from a shelter to a place of their own appreciate our help in establishing their new homes. Just bring a new, unwrapped household item to First Parish during the Shower for Shelters, and place it in the labeled basket in the Vestry. Many thanks!
Items on the wish-list include: Twin size bedding, including sheets, pillowcases, summer blankets and comforters; pillows; crib sheets; bath towels and face cloths; unscented laundry detergent and cleaning products; laundry baskets. Also for the kitchen: flatware, knives, glasses, mugs, pots and pans, cooking utensils, pot holders, small appliances, clock radios. Personal products: feminine hygiene products; children’s socks and underwear; diapers; deodorant; toothbrushes and toothpaste; hangars. Gift cards: CVS, Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Hannaford’s, Roche Bros. Also MBTA Charlie Cards and postage stamps.
