On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, First Parish will offer two services to celebrate joy, reflection, and tradition. The 4 p.m. service is ideal for families with younger children. It will be held outdoors if weather permits. (Check the website in the event of bad weather.) The service will also include a performance of the Children’s Bell Choir. At the 7 p.m. candlelight service, candles, carols and reflections will usher in Christmas Eve. These services will be led by the Rev. Dr. Stephanie May.
On Dec. 25, First Parish will offer a pre-recorded 10 a.m. service celebrating Christmas Day and the last day of Hanukkah. The Rev. Dr. Laura Solomon of the U.U. Church of Reading and the Rev. Heather Janules of the Winchester Unitarian Society will lead the service. It includes something for everyone, with the kindling of many lights, a Time for All Ages, hymns and carols, and two short reflections exploring what Christmas and Hanukkah offer us as we approach the new day. Join in this collaborative celebration of a special Sunday morning. The service will be available on our YouTube page (youtube.com/firstparishinwayland)
