Christmas Eve Services at First Parish in Wayland
Please join us online for special services at 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
For many, Christmas Eve is a magical night of celebration. The sparkle of lights, the familiar story, the favorite carols, and, most of all, the gathering together often create memorable events. While we will be gathering in different ways this year, we will be coming together to retell the story, listen to some wonderful music, and to reflect together on the hope of a new birth and a new year.
At 5:00 p.m., we will livestream a short, family-friendly service of carols, the Christmas story, and a brief time of meditation. This service will be streamed live to the First Parish in Wayland Facebook page (https://m.facebook.com/fpw1815) or as a recording to be enjoyed when you would like.
Then, at 7:00 p.m., we will have a traditional service of carols and readings. The Rev. Dr. Stephanie May will also share a Christmas message entitled, “All the People.” To join this service, please register online at: www.uuwayland.org/ChristmasEve7pm.
For both services, participants are invited to have a candle to light during the singing of Silent Night and for a time of meditation.
