Rev. Lisa Perry-Wood
Norbert Capek introduced the flower “communion” service to his church on June 4, 1923. Capek felt the need for a symbolic ritual that would bind people more closely together, with a format that would not alienate those from other religious traditions. Each year this beautiful ritual marks the end of our program year, as we celebrate the power of community to hold, heal, and connect us to the work of justice.
