Buy a specially marked Bloomin’ for Good bouquet at Stop & Shop during the month of May, and you’ll benefit the First Parish Pantry Garden, which grows produce to support local shelters. For every $10.99 bouquet sold at the Wayland Town Center Stop & Shop, the Pantry Garden will receive $1. The money goes toward buying seed and supplies for the garden tended by First Parish volunteers to benefit South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) shelters.

Again this year, the gardeners will concentrate on growing garlic and flowers to sell at Russell’s summer Farmer’s Market; last year, both sold out quickly. Proceeds are used to buy two community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares from a local farm, and donate the weekly produce shares to area shelters. Buy a bouquet in May at Stop & Shop, knowing that your purchase will be rewarding their efforts.
