“This jazz quintet puts all kinds of throat sounds to such funky good use that listeners break into applause and – better – feel like dancing.” – Boston Magazine

First Parish in Wayland will host an Arts Wayland performance on Sunday, March 3 at 3 p.m. Vox One, the internationally acclaimed, jazz vocal quintet from Boston is back on the scene. Combining elements of jazz, blues, funk, and folk, the award-winning a-cappella group re-imagines the traditional landscape of jazz singing in a truly unique fashion. They’ll perform selections from their five albums and new material reframed with the unique vocal percussion and electronic effect that brings an eclectic edge to their pure lyricism. This event is part of Arts Wayland’s Jazz Series, under the direction of Neil Olmstead, Berklee College Professor.

Tickets ($15) are available at Arts Wayland. Online ticket sales will end at 12:00 pm on the day of the concert.
