On Sunday, Dec. 4 from 2 to 5 p.m., Wayland’s annual Holiday Open House returns with in-person festivities, including the Community Carol Sing at 4:30 p.m. on the steps of First Parish. Additional holiday activities will take place at the Grout-Heard House Museum, the Wayland Free Public Library, and the Wayland Depot..

The Grout-Heard House Museum will be decorated and open to visitors from 2 to 5 p.m., with a Christmas tree decorated by the Girl Scouts, music, games and goody bags. A Wayland High School string quartet will play at 2:30 p.m., and the Madrigals a capella singers will perform at 4 p.m. The Library will offer entertainment for kids and music for all ages, including a jazzy concert by Thomas Meunier and Cindy Lou at 3 p.m. The Wayland Depot will be open from noon to 5 p.m. for holiday shopping with unique hand-crafted and local gifts; and at 4:30 the New Horizons Band will accompany singers on the steps of First Parish for a good old-fashioned carol sing, a special visitor from the North Pole, and cookies and cocoa inside.
