Join us for a musical afternoon at First Parish in Wayland on Sunday, May 31 at 3 p.m. The “soirée musicale” takes place in the Vestry, our downstairs community room. We’ll have light refreshments and musical performances by members and small ensembles from the Sudbury Valley New Horizons Music groups. There will be a variety of different musical performances by individuals and small groups, on various instruments, and in different styles and genres, from Bach to the Beatles and beyond.
Sudbury Valley New Horizons Music is a musical organization for adult beginners and adults returning to their instruments after years or decades of not playing, and includes a concert band and a string ensemble, as well as other smaller ensembles. It is directed by Linda Murdock and Diane Muffitt, long-time band director at the Wayland Middle School. This concert is a chance for the members to perform a concert of solo and small ensemble music in a coffeehouse style setting. Everyone is welcome. Please join us for an enjoyable social afternoon sharing our music! There is no charge. First Parish is located at 225 Boston Post Road, at the intersection of Routes 20 and 27.
