“Her voice was rich and clear and strong in all ranges; she had musicianship and cool intelligence…she had absorbed some of Sarah Vaughan’s fearsome technique.” The New York Times on Dominique Eade.

First Parish in Wayland will once again host an Arts Wayland performance on Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. Join us for an afternoon of Jazz standards featuring vocalist Dominique Eade, with our own Neil Olmstead (piano) and Barry Smith (bass). Drawing from the American Songbook this subtle trio of Berklee professors blends the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis in a gentle jazz format of melodies and improvisations. Dominique’s unique lyricism is supported by rich harmonic piano accompaniment lying atop a deeply supportive bass. The interplay between artists is at the core of this experiential trio. Tickets ($15) are available at Arts Wayland. Please stay after the concert for a reception!
