The intersection of Plain Rd. and Claypit Hill Rd. in Wayland was the location of the residence where onetime First Parish minister Edmund Hamilton Sears wrote "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear". Last year the children decided to honor him with a plaque. It was made over the summer. The ceremony began around 11:00 a.m. and refreshments were served.
